Behaviour of one child is different from the other and is something that can be changed or corrected. To change a child’s behaviour, parents need to have consultation with a professional child behavioural therapist. Parents often take matters in their own hands and punish the child if they think their behaviour is out of line. Physical punishments are sometimes used and can stop the child from certain behaviour, but it will not teach him to alter it. Child behavioural therapists are the people who suggest alternative ways to correct a child’s behaviour.
Child behavioural therapists choose child behavioural therapy to teach children positive behaviour and to make them avoid negative behaviour. Physical punishment will only make children stubborn and aggressive and these therapists believe that physical punishment can spiral in severe child abuse.
These professionals believe that by following certain strategies to ‘correct’ child behaviour, children can learn new things and improve their behaviour and become better people.
